Moon Bin Fantagio, the music company, said on Thursday that K-pop singer Moon Bin, a member of the boy band Astro, has passed away at the age of 25.
Fantagio posted a statement on Instagram in which they said Moon Bin “suddenly left us and became a star in the sky.”
An officer at Gangnam Police Station said that the celebrity was discovered dead at his residence in southern Seoul by his management at around 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday.

As admirers shared their grief over the celebrity’s passing, social media was flooded with condolences.
With more than 2.6 million messages including photographs and condolences and some written in English, Spanish, Indonesian, Tagalog, and Thai, the hashtag #moonbin was trending worldwide on Twitter.

Fantagio stated in a statement that the star’s family’s grief was “incomparable.”
The music company stated that “all Astro members, Fantagio colleagues, executives, and long-time employees are deeply mourning the deceased in such great sadness and shock.”
According to the statement, it was sad to give the unexpected news to the star’s followers since she “always loved and thought of the fans more than anyone else.”
Additionally, it requested that people “refrain from speculative and malicious reports” while the family was grieving.
In 2016, Moon Bin made his Astro debut. The group’s other members are Yoon San-ha, MJ, Cha Eun-woo, and Jinjin.
