Police stated that they believe the incident was an accident and that nothing points to a criminal matter.
According to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), drowning kills more children in the United States between the ages of 1 and 4 than any other cause of death, with swimming pools accounting for the majority of these drownings.
According to the organisation, acquiring swimming skills and watching after kids can lower the likelihood of drowning fatalities.
Los Angeles fire authorities recommended pool owners to hire a water supervisor to watch over kids, put up a good fence around the pool, learn CPR and always check pools first if a child goes missing as the weather heats up ahead of summer.
