Stanton, third baseman Josh Donaldson, and relief pitcher Tommy Kahnle will all be back on the big league roster in time for the cross-country matchup between the two established heavyweights, according to MLB Network’s Bryan Hoch on Wednesday.

Giancarlo Stanton had been assigned to Double-A Somerset for a rehab stint along with Donaldson and Kahnle’s minor league team.
Stanton pulled into second base after hitting a double in a victory against the Minnesota Twins on April 15 and immediately felt a Grade 2 hamstring strain. The following day, before he had even been evaluated to establish the extent of the injury, the team put him on the 10-day disabled list.

Giancarlo Stanton had been placed on the IL by the Yankees seven times at this point in 2019. On December 11, 2017, the organisation traded for Stanton from the Miami Marlins. In 2018, he participated in 158 games for the New York Yankees, which is a personal high. Last season, he appeared in 110 games wearing pinstripes.
A hole is consistently created in the New York Yankees’ batting order every year when Stanton goes on the injured list. The 14-year MLB veteran had a strong start to the season, batting.269 through 13 games with four home runs and 11 RBIs.
Thank God

When it was announced that Donaldson would be joining the squad, New York Yankees fans weren’t as thrilled. On April 5, Donaldson suffered a right hamstring injury while playing against the Philadelphia Phillies.

He had a terrible start at the time of his injury, hitting just.125. The season’s sluggish start only serves to increase New Yorkers’ dislike of the 37-year-old former superstar slugger.
Prior to the 2022 season, Donaldson was acquired in a multi-player trade with the Minnesota Twins along with utility player Isiah Kiner-Falefa. In 137 games with the New York Yankees, Donaldson has hit.219 with just 16 home runs and 63 RBIs.
Now if Donaldson could just miss his flight….

Donaldson needs to take his time coming back. No rush.

Is there any shot of telling Donaldson? His flight is connecting through Guam?

The return of Kahnle improves the bullpen in addition to Stanton improving the lineup. The seasoned reliever has only pitched in one game so far this season, but in 2022, he made 72 relief appearances and had a 3.67 ERA.
Only problem is, who is getting sent down besides Ryan Weber
