Draymond Green On Monday night, tensions between Draymond Green and Domantas Sabonis reached a breaking point.
However, the Sacramento Kings still managed to shine, taking a commanding 2-0 series lead against the Golden State Warriors.
In a heated Game 2 of their first-round playoff series against the Warriors at the Golden 1 Centre on Monday night, the Kings managed to hold on and win 114-106. Before even selecting star Stephen Curry out of Davidson in 2007, the Warriors had never trailed 0-2 in a playoff series.
After stomping on Domantas Sabonis, Draymond Green was dismissed.
Despite the fact that Draymond Green and Sabonis had been sparring throughout the series, it had only ever been additional physical play until Monday night.
With the Kings leading by four points and just before the halfway mark of the fourth quarter, Draymond Green and Sabonis were entangled while battling for a rebound below the basket. After falling to the ground and seeming to be struck in the face, Sabonis threw his arms around Green’s leg.
Green stomped squarely upon Sabonis’ chest as he turned to head the other way, leaving the Kings player writhing in agony in the lane.

Green had eight points, five assists, and four rebounds for the game.
When questioned on TNT whether he harboured resentment towards Green following the victory, Sabonis acted quite unconcerned.
Klay Thompson’s late 3-pointer gave the Warriors many opportunities to regain the lead, but the Kings answered with a 10-2 run in the closing minutes to secure the eight-point victory.
Curry had 28 points to lead Golden State, but he only made 3-of-13 shots from beyond the arc. In addition to Thompson’s 21 points, Andrew Wiggins, who started the game on Monday night, contributed 22 points.
With 24 points and nine rebounds while shooting 8 of 12 from the floor, Sabonis was the Kings’ top scorer. Adding 24 points and nine assists was De’Aaron Fox.
The series’ third game will be played on Thursday night in San Francisco.
