In 1969, after drugging her and a companion in Los Angeles, Victoria Valentino, a former Playboy model, accused Bill Cosby of abusing her in a sexual manner. Victoria Valentino was just one of 60 women who came forward with horrific accounts of rape and violence at the hands of the formerly famous comic, who was hailed as America’s father for decades.

The claims of r*pe and drug use against Cosby go back to that year. Despite the fact that the statute of limitations had passed in most of the cases, Cosby was tried and found guilty in the case where he was charged of abusing Andrea Constand, a basketball coach at Temple University.
Bill Cosby was promptly found guilty of aggravated indecent assault in 2018 and given a 10-year jail term. However, the Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele, who ordered Cosby’s arrest, was found to have reached a deal with the suspect in which he would not be prosecuted for the charges, and the court overturned his conviction in 2021 as a result.
Two years later, the now 80-year-old Victoria Valentino filed a complaint against Bill Cosby, accusing him of raping her at the most vulnerable point in her life. Victoria was encouraged by the state of California temporarily lifting the statute of limitations on civil s*xual assault cases. When Valentino first encountered Cosby in Los Angeles in 1969, she was a former playmate and aspiring actress, according to the lawsuit.

In the lawsuit, Valentino detailed how she met Bill Cosby with a friend and aspiring actress Meg Foster at a Los Angeles restaurant when she was a 26-year-old grieving mother. According to reports, Valentino was at the time mourning the death of her son, a 6-year-old who drowned accidently.
According to the lawsuit, Cosby presented tablets to Valentino and her friend at dinner, telling them the medication would lessen their suffering. He also acted as though he had consumed one.
Cosby allegedly led the two lost women to his office shortly after. Despite being unconscious, Victoria Valentino apparently felt that Cosby was going to hurt her companion and intervened to stop the assault. Cosby allegedly sexually attacked Valentino after becoming angered by the interception and then asked both women to order a cab. The complaint described the occurrence as follows:
In response to Plaintiff’s repeated attempts to stop Cosby from attacking her companion, Cosby eventually lost patience and grew enraged. Cosby then got up and approached Plaintiff while wearing a frightful grimace on his face. In an effort to keep herself from falling to the ground, the plaintiff tried to stand up but her legs wobbled and buckled beneath her.
According to the lawsuit, the claimed assault left her with a crippling psychological injury that ended her career as a Hollywood actor.
“[Cosby] took advantage of me when I was at my lowest and most grieving. Not only did he abuse me, but the trauma also severely derailed my career in the performing arts. He caused me trauma that not only impacts me but also my grandchildren and children.
Jeff Anderson, Victoria Valentino’s lawyer, criticised Cosby for his alleged deeds. Anderson also defended a woman who filed a lawsuit against Cosby in New York in 2022 and was awarded $500,000 in damages.
“He has left a trail of unimaginable agony, trauma, and pain behind him, but today we are making him answerable for his deeds. Cosby’s actions are revolting and ugly, and to say so is an understatement.
In 1963, Victoria Valentino was named Playmate of the Month.
Victoria Valentino, a native of Connecticut, relocated to California the summer following her high school graduation. She soon became a member of a folk ensemble, fell in love with and wed a violent aspiring photographer.
According to reports, they had a son named Tony during their abusive marriage. Valentino apparently posed for pictures at the time, and her photographer husband sent the pictures to Playboy. She stated the following to the Guardian:
I was very foolish. I had no idea what a “Playboy” was.
Victoria Valentino, then 19 years old, was chosen by the publication as Playmate of the Month in September 1963. Valentino was soon exposed to the glitzy LA scene, where she met a number of actors, directors, and singers. She also attended multiple acting auditions during this time. Valentino reportedly fled her abusive husband in 1964 and assisted in the New Year’s Eve opening of the original Playboy Club on the Sunset Strip.
A few years later, Valentino reportedly discovered her son at the bottom of the swimming pool while she was purportedly at the home of her boyfriend. She remembers the incident and provided the following statement to Guardian:
“I felt like someone had gutted me with a dull knife,” the speaker said.
Three months later, Victoria Valentino’s friend and former playmate Francesca Emerson advised her to see Cosby in order to land a part in his movie.
The Washington Post was informed by a Cosby spokesman on June 1, 2023, that the accusations against him were unquestionably false.
