WWE Bret Hart allegedly offered Vince McMahon a plan that didn’t play out but, in retrospect, may have cost the business a lot.
Wrestlers have previously mentioned Vince McMahon as wanting to be the one who comes up with all the ideas and not always being open to outside proposals.
Bret Hart recalled requesting that Vince McMahon sign a WWE Hall of Famer.
But, there was a period when he was at least open to hearing from his best wrestlers. In this instance, Bret Hart talked about his interactions with Vince in an interview on Casual Talks with The Classic.

One instance was when he pushed Vince to sign Steve Austin far sooner than he really did, only to learn that the signing wasn’t successful.
But, there was a period when he was, at the very least, open to hearing from his best wrestlers. This was the case with Bret Hart, who spoke about his chats with Vince in an interview with Casual Conversations with The Classic.
He talked about how he tried to get Vince to sign Steve Austin far sooner than he really did, only to learn that the signing didn’t pan out.

In May 1995, Steve Austin’s WCW contract came to an end. During a month of travelling with New Japan, he competed in two ECW matches in November and December of the same year before making his “The Ringmaster” debut with WWF/E.
