Len Goodman : Former Dancing with the Stars head judge Len Goodman has passed away. He was 78.
The news was verified by Jackie Gill, the manager of Goodman, in a statement issued early on Monday. In a statement given to BBC News, Gill said, “It is with great sadness that I announce that Len Goodman has passed away peacefully, aged 78.” “A much loved husband, father, and grandfather who will be sorely missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.”

According to the, Goodman passed away on Saturday in a hospice in Kent, England, with his family at his side. It was bone cancer.
From 2005 until 2022, the former professional dancer made appearances on DWTS. From its debut in 2004 until 2016, he served as a head judge on the British edition of the programme, Strictly Come Dancing.
Tim Davie, director-general of the BBC, stated in a statement that was posted on Twitter that “Len Goodman was a wonderful, warm entertainer who was adored by millions.” He had universal appeal and made people feel like he belonged in their families. Len was the driving force behind Strictly’s success. Both the general public and his countless friends and family will greatly miss him.

In a Twitter homage, Piers Morgan also posted a picture of the two dancing together. “More really depressing news from the entertainment industry…”RIP Len Goodman, 78 – welder, dancer, judge and passionate West Ham and cricket fan,” wrote the 58-year-old television personality. Len and I often laughed together and exchanged some strong thoughts. A fantastic bloke and a classic Londoner.

Goodman’s departure from the Disney+ dancing competition series in November 2022 has been exclusively announced. Later, he revealed the information on a DWTS show, for which the audience gave him a standing ovation.
When doing a live event, you must be on your game and fast to respond. And as one ages, things start to get more difficult, he told PEOPLE. “I figured it’s best to leave before I start dozing off or dribbling on the show,” the actor said.

“I will miss the California sunshine, working with my fellow judges, and the camaraderie with everyone on the show,” he continued. I’ll miss being a part of one of the most popular TV series, as well as watching the celebs become better dancers.
Goodman, an English professional ballroom dancer, debuted on DWTS in 2005 as the chief judge for the program’s inaugural season. Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, who have been on the judge’s panel for all 31 seasons, joined him. Later this year, Season 32 is scheduled to air.
Prior to taking a vacation for season 21, Goodman presided as a judge for the first 20 seasons. He later made a comeback to judging for seasons 22 through 28 before taking a second hiatus in season 29. Then, during season 30, he made a comeback before quitting.
