Dwayne Haskins, a quarterback, left this earth one year ago this month, and his loved ones are still mourning his untimely passing. Haskins was murdered on April 9, 2022, while attempting to cross Interstate 595 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, when he was struck by a car.

Clark said that the suit could elicit some crucial details concerning Haskins’s being a target, which resulted in his murder.

According to the medical examiner’s findings for Broward County, Dwayne Haskins’ cause of death was determined to be accident and blunt force trauma. He had alcohol and narcotics in his system at the time of his death, according to the medical examiner.
His blood-alcohol level was detected at .20, which was nearly double the legal limit in Florida, which is .08. Also, he had positive tests for the occasionally abused anaesthetic medications ketamine and norketamine.

Haskins trained in Florida with players from the Pittsburgh Steelers, including quarterback Mitch Trubisky and wide receiver Chase Claypool, just before he passed away.
The club honoured Haskins by using helmet decals of his No. 3 jersey for the 2022 campaign.

In a 911 call, Chris Stanley, a motorist on Interstate 595 that morning, described what he observed before to Haskins being struck. On the highway, Stanley noticed a truck and another car heading in Haskins’ direction:
“I was already worried that someone was going to hit him right there at that moment. He was approximately halfway to a quarter of the way into the right lane and already into the highway. And I saw a Mack truck, or a large tractor-trailer, along with another car that began to move slightly to the left.
