Sports lovers in Tampa Bay have a lot to be excited about right now. Since 2020, the Tampa Bay Lightning and Tampa Bay Buccaneers have each won three league titles.
A new starting quarterback for the Buccaneers has recently joined the team, and he has already expressed his support for the neighbourhood NHL team.
Baker Mayfield, the Buccaneers quarterback, can be seen supporting the Lightning in a video that the Lightning uploaded on Twitter. The video was published only hours before the team’s Monday clash against the Toronto Maple Leafs in the Eastern Conference First Round.

Mayfield stated while displaying a personalised Lightning jersey with his last name on the back:
“Let’s stand up and shout!”
Although Mayfield has just recently moved to Tampa Bay, it is obvious that he has quickly assimilated into the city’s sports scene. He has assimilated into the group, and the supporters are grateful for the support.
The Lightning are aiming to win their third Stanley Cup in four years, so the atmosphere inside Amalie Arena for tonight’s game is going to be electrifying. Fans of the Lightning have even more reason to get excited since Mayfield is supporting them.
Erik Cernak won’t be available for the Tampa Bay Lightning in Game 4.
Without an important piece of their blueline, the Tampa Bay Lightning will enter Game 4 without it. Defenseman Erik Cernak’s absence due to an upper-body injury was revealed. Since being elbowed in the face by Maple Leafs forward Michael Bunting in Game 1, Cernak has been out.
Cernak endured a number of ailments throughout the regular season. Sadly, his most recent absence coincides with a key stretch in the playoffs. The Tampa Bay Lightning have badly missed his muscular presence on the ice. In 70 games, Cernak had a strong regular season, scoring 16 points, blocking 100 shots, and getting 209 hits.
In Cernak’s absence, Zach Bogosian has stepped up to fill the defensive hole. He will, however, be up against a formidable Maple Leafs squad. The defence for the Lightning is strong and talented. They ought to be able to compete with the Maple Leafs.
Despite this, Cernak’s toughness on the ice will be missed by the Tampa Bay Lightning. The squad has benefited greatly from his ability to hit hard and block shots this season. He won’t be there, therefore the Lightning will need to change their strategy.
