After Till Lindemann, the main vocalist of the German rock band Rammstein, was accused of sexual assault and abuse of power, the band responded via Instagram.
Till Lindemann’s alleged crimes, Rammstein
In response to German media stories from the previous week that included testimonials from women alleging a systematic practise of luring females to backstage parties in order to please Lindemann’s sexual demands, the band begged fans in the statement not to “prejudge” them.
The statement on social media began, “The publications of the last few days have irritated and raised questions among the public and particularly among our fans.” We take the claims very seriously since they have affected us all very deeply.
“To our fans, we say: We value your safety and comfort at our performances, both in front of and behind the stage,”
We strongly condemn any forms of assault and implore you to refrain from passing any sort of judgement on individuals who have levelled charges. They are entitled to express their opinions.
“But we, the band, also have a right — to not be prejudged either.”
charges of assault and seducing women
Shelby Lynn, a Rammstein supporter from Ireland, travelled to Vilnius, Lithuania, last month to see a performance.
She received an invitation to an after-show party there. She claimed that she met Lindemann during the party and that he expressed interest in having sex with her. When Lynn denied the invitation, Lynn claimed Lindemann reacted violently.
Due to the fact that she had no memory of a portion of the evening after only two drinks and a shot of tequila, Lynn explained that she had reason to believe that one of her drinks had been tainted with drugs. After the concert, she claimed to have been left injured and to have vomited for 24 hours. Lynn complained and uploaded a photo of her wounds online.

The German media outlets NDR and Süddeutsche Zeitung released a report on June 2 that included testimonies from women whose experiences were similar to Lynn’s and suggested a methodical strategy to entice women to after-show parties who were reportedly specifically chosen to have sex with Lindemann.
More than a dozen women’s statutory declarations have been reported on by German media. The women recount how Rammstein’s crew contacted them, either in person at the performances or over Instagram. Some of them were either photographed and videotaped on-site or invited to deliver pictures before the show. The chosen women were instructed to dress a certain way and were allowed access to “row zero” for the performance, a unique, limited area right in front of the stage.
One woman claims she was even told directly that showing interest in having sex with Lindemann was a requirement for entry to the party.
KiWi Publisher removes Lindemann
Lindemann’s publisher, Kiepenheuer & Witsch (KiWi), has terminated their relationship with him because to the claims.
The German publishing business said it was “shocked” by the claims against Lindemann and said that “sympathy and respect goes to the women affected.”
Kiepenheuer & Witsch’s 2013 book In Still Night has a role in the pornographic movie that Till Lindemann created, which was made public as a result of the recent reports, according to KiWi. According to the ideals we uphold as a publisher, we deem this to be a severe violation of trust and a merciless act.
The KiWi statement went on to say that Till Lindemann “exceeds immovable limits in dealing with women from our point of view. Because our relationship of trust has been irreparably damaged, we have chosen to stop working with Till Lindemann immediately.
