In June 2021, Bell entered a plea of guilty to both Drake Bell a misdemeanour charge of transmitting material harmful to minors and a criminal charge of trying to endanger children. Later, he was given a sentence of 200 hours of community service and two years of probation.
The allegations related to a December 2017 encounter between a 15-year-old girl and a then-31-year-old Bell. The two met after exchanging Drake Bell communications on social media for months that were “at times… sexual in nature,” according to police at the time.
