The present-day Jennifer O.
Even years after she finished portraying the style icon on the big screen, Natalie Portman continues to incorporate elements of Jackie Kennedy into her outfits because she understands better than anyone that the former first lady will never go out of style.
The actress was present for the HBO docuseries Angel City debut on Thursday in West Hollywood. The new programme takes a close look into the history of Angel City FC, a professional women’s soccer team headquartered in Los Angeles. The actress brought huge modern-day first lady vibes to the occasion by donning a black tweed Miu Miu jacket and matching short shorts.
She dressed the Jackie O suit with peep-toe slingback shoes with bow detailing, subtly indicating that the microtrend of short shorts may also be formal (a pillbox hat was all that was still needed). She kept her makeup very clean and fresh with a smokey eye, peach lips, and beach waves in her long, black hair that was split down the centre.
Natalie Portman sophisticated appearance is a significant departure from her go-to mom on-the-go outfit of relaxed-fit trousers and a crewneck jumper. However, it makes sense since she is a “soccer mum” who has a role to fulfil. She frequently attends the soccer games of her 11-year-old son when she is not supporting the Angel City Football Club.

We definitely attend many of the City games, she said. I keep travelling back and forth to practise since my son is a fierce football player.

Natalie Portman discussed the importance of L.A.’s first National Women’s Soccer League club and what it means for the youngsters and the neighbourhood to see history being made in March in an interview with People.
Well, that’s the fun of football, or as many people refer to it, football, that it truly brings people together and makes them happy’, Natalie Portman remarked. “Therefore, while also having a great time, you can support something like women’s equity.”
