In the most recent teaser for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One), Miles Morales is on the run from a universe-wide spider-human pursuit.
The buzz around Sony’s Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) generated by its trailers may eventually wear out, but that day is absolutely not now.
The latest teaser for Across the Spider-Verge shows Miles Morales (Shameik Moore) juggling life while maintaining good grades and dealing with friendly neighbourhood bad guys like the Spot (Jason Schwartzman). As usual, Miles’ parents, Rio (Luna Lauren Vélez) and Jefferson (Brian Tyree Henry), want want him to be content and talk to them. Yet whatever Miles is going through brings him face to face with his close friend Gwen (Hailee Steinfeld) from another realm, and this time she appears with an offer to take Miles on an adventure rather than notifying his parents about his double existence.
The debut teaser for Across the Spider-Verse hinted that despite everyone appearing to be on the same team, Miles’ trip from one world to another will be marred by conflict with other Spider-people. But, the most recent advertisement makes it much more obvious why Miguel O’Hara (Oscar Isaac) would ultimately take the lead in the effort to capture Miles. Miles may have to decide between rescuing a single person he loves and saving the entire world, a difficult choice that may cause him to clash with the other webheads in the movie. Every major Spider-Man narrative has been defined by terrible loss.
Despite how weighty everything is, it is also clear from the teaser that Across the Spider-Verse will be just as intense as its predecessor, which will almost likely making it a must-see when it debuts on June 2nd, 2023.
