The 38-year-old singer-songwriter has come under fire for remarks made to candidates during the most recent season, which ended on Sunday night (May 21).

This included the “mum shaming scandal” that resulted from a comment she made to Sara Beth Liebe and the criticism she gave Nutsa Buzaladze on two separate occasions.

According to recent rumours, Katy wants to leave American Idol because she doesn’t want the programme to “define” her career or make her look like a “nasty judge” or “nasty judge.”

When Katy Perry questioned Nutsa’s usage of glitter repeatedly during her performance last month, the audience booed her. I myself would prefer to see you the next time without even a trace of glitter, she said.

According to reports, Katy received criticism for her comments on a duet earlier in the season between Nutsa and 25-year-old Carina DeAngelo. It was “underwhelming,” she added, adding that their “energy was broken.”

Mom-shaming is incredibly dumb, and Sara Beth supported “uplifting other women” before she eventually left the show, allegedly citing the need to stay at home with her children.

According to the Daily Mail, the former contestant later said in response to the issue that she is “not even mad” in a subsequent post on social media.
