Calls to boycott Maybelline and Mac Cosmetics began trending on Twitter after the brands’ old collaboration videos with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney surfaced on the platform.

Dylan Mulvaney has been the talk of the town lately. The transgender influencer is one of the most well-known faces on social media at the moment.

She initially caught netizens’ attention after her collaboration with Bud Light went viral earlier this month.

Following the Bud Light controversy, other brands like Nike and Olay, who collaborated with Dylan also received criticism on social media.

Now Maybelline and Mac Cosmetics have joined their ranks, as irate tweets are targeting these two brands over their previous collaborations with the TikTok star.

Right-wing Twitter users are targeting a Maybelline-sponsored video that Dylan put out in March this year.

The video, dated March 14, sees the 26-year-old transforming herself into her full glam avatar showing Maybelline product.

The caption reads, “Getting glam for my Day 365 show @maybelline #maybellinepartner.”

Dylan shows off the famous Maybelline New York Instant Age rewind concealer and also dabs a little lipstick on her lips at the end.

She is in her usual cheery avatar in the video.

The video enraged a vocal minority of conservative Twitter users, who felt a makeup brand sponsoring Dylan must be “mocking women”.
