Those fans are undoubtedly worth money because Dunne has made money off of her fame by signing NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals with companies like Body Armour, Grubhub, Linktree, Forever 21, and others.
Dunne is by far in first position in the most recent On3 Women’s NIL 100, with fellow LSU athlete Angel Reese coming in second with a value of £1.1 million ($1.4 million) after her team’s victory in the NCAA March Madness.
Four LSU athletes make up the top 10, including Hailey Van Lith, a recent transfer from Louisville who is ranked eighth on the list with a value of £405,000 ($506,000).
The amount of LSU athletes listed in the article astonished several commenters, one of whom wrote: “Them LSU girls gettin PAID.”
The comment “LSU ladies stacking that [money bag emoji]” from another person expressed the same idea. A third person wrote: “Livvy definitely worth more after that SI deal” in reference to Dunne’s most recent big NIL deal.
As she made her debut in the May issue, the gymnast signed a NIL deal to appear in the 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
She spoke to SI about individuals attempting to argue that the success she has established is due to flaunting her body on social media while posing for various costumes that showcased her great figure in the photoshoot.
“People often make comments about you that they would never say to your face, so having acquired strong skin is part of it. She told SI Swimsuit that social media is difficult.
“I believe it’s critical to defend your own interests. Maybe it’s the Jersey girl in me, but I believe females need to understand that it’s inappropriate to say things like that, especially because I post in places where any other college student would post.
“[Or] I’m wearing a leotard, which is the gymnast’s compulsory attire. It is absurd.
